Subject: OOPSLA Artifact Reviewing Started
Dear AEC Member,
Thanks a lot for placing your bids. They were very helpful in assigning artifacts to you that you will hopefully find interesting. When you go to CyberChair, you now should see the artifacts you will need to review.
Your next deadline is the "Kicking-the-tires" due date, (extended to June 23 because of our delay), by which you will have to submit the results of working through the "Getting Started" guides of all your artifacts (the first two questions in the review form). As we stated before, this is your one and only chance to ask clarification questions to the authors (but only if you run into a technical problem completing the tasks described in the submission's "Getting Started" guide). We expect this to happen only in exceptional cases. In any case, even if you have no questions to the authors, you will have to submit the "kicking-the-tires" part of your review by June 23.
As you work through the reviewing process, please remember that our role as reviewers is to serve the community. We do this both by assessing carefully and rigorously, and by providing constructive feedback to authors. We ask you to be particularly mindful of the challenge of simultaneously delivering insightful critique and encouraging feedback.
Your complete reviews will be due on Monday, July 15 (that date is unchanged).
